It was for my family that I first began sewing. Kids are hard on everything-- furniture, toys... parents-- and clothes are no exception. While some may consider it an old-fashioned notion, I wanted to mend my young son's clothing. I bought a sewing machine, took a class, and discovered some talent!
A little creativity, three more children and eleven years later, I've managed to build a family business. My oldest two children are working hard learning how to draw our designs on the computer while my daughter lends me her good eye, letting me know when things "don't look right".
As I look forward to adding new market-proven product lines, my joy will really come from watching my children take more roles in the family business.
Family is everything.
